Nutritional Medicine is a practice of Complementary Therapies that looks at restoring ill health in our physical body at a cellular level. This is based on the principle that ‘the proper functioning of all the biochemical processes on which our body depends, require the right nutrients, including essential micronutrients’. The practice includes other lifestyle and environmental factors that are also considered as parts of your nutritional make-up.

So, what will happen at your Nutrition Appointment?

  • A detailed intake form will be sent to you when you book your Initial appointment. An introduction letter and our privacy and cancellation policies document will also be attached.
  • Your Initial appointment will be booked for 2 hours so that Vincenza can take a detailed history of your health, conditions, how you are currently eating and your overall health lifestyle. This information assists Vincenza to create your individualised Nutrition Plan. Any other information needed for this process may require you to complete pathology tests, but Vincenza will give you a referral form if you need it.
  • Your follow up appointment will be two weeks from your Initial appointment and is generally booked for 1 hour. Vincenza will have all of your test results and your Nutrition Plan ready for you to go through together. In your Nutrition Plan, you will find:
  • A detailed research report
  • A breakdown of your test results
  • an inclusion and exclusion list of foods to support your health intention
  • A shopping list and an outline of a daily eating plan
  • Supplements you need and where you can purchase them
  • A lifestyle plan to support your new health regime
  • Your ongoing appointments could be fortnightly to monthly depending on your needs. These appointments are check-ins with Vincenza where you will discuss any improvements, changes and challenges that are happening and make appropriate adjustments to your Plan.
